Running
« on: December 20, 2011, 01:08:20 am »
any runners here

I'm an overweight 45 yo

3 years ago I took up running and was doing about 14 miles by last January

Then I stopped (don't ask why) and piled on weight.

So I want to start again on the hard task of ponding the roads and getting fit again...

I need encouragement and advice...

I don't run long distance very well.  More of a sprinter.   I am not quite as old as you (41) and while I am not overweight I don't have the endurance I used to have.  I found out when my daughters soccer team played the parents.  I was sore for days after. :D

Figure out what made you quit running and make the changes to get back into it.
